Southern Sportive road cycling and cyclosportive events
Duncton, March 28th (plus Autumn post season dates to be announced)

We're launching a new event concept for sportive riders in 2010; Cyclosportive Training Days.

Gauge your early season fitness and work on your performance goals in a fully supported sportive environment. You'll get full, sportive quality route marking and support on a multi loop course that let's you choose your ride. You can go for distance work by multiple lapping, interval training on a shorter loop, work on your climbing or even just treat it as good early season social and a chance to get in a bit of pack riding.

It's a great place to get some riding advice too. We'll prepare some suggested workouts for each course to help you get the most from your day, plus there will be industry demos and expert advice on hand too.

Looking ahead, the training days will help you to assess your seasons progress as well. We will revisit some of the same course post season, so you can compare your 'before' and 'after' form.

These are going to be the next big thing for the sportive devotee, so sign up now and let us get you ready for your best season ever!

Dual Section Course

The Training Day course are divided up into two sections, a low lying Short Loop and a hilly Training Loop. You can ride these in as many laps and combinations as you like to suit your days training.

Multiple Timing Splits

As well as the timing point at the start/finish, the Hilly Loop will feature two timing and support stations at pinch points*, dividing that loop up into 4-5 distinctly timed sections. This will allow you to target intervals or specific stretches, build recovery sections into your ride and compare your timing breakdown from lap to lap.

Full Sportive Course Marking

You'll benefit from the same attention to detail we offer on our full blown sportives too. The same top quality route signage, complementary route maps and GPS files, feed stations and rider support and pre and post ride catering.
